I am Eva. I am single not because no man wants me but because I choose to be so. I am a woman of the universe. I am not in search of anything or anyone, Nor am I wanting. Remember - a woman can be anything that the man who loves her would have her be. But do I want to be what my man wants me to be? Hell, no! I'll be what I want to be and he can be what I want him to be!
Eva, It is a small world. What you have there we also have it here. More often than not they try to impose their will on us and expect us to do everything their way.
Slow weekend huh? Well, a little comic relief is just the tonic sometimes.
Got a friend named 'J' who's a business associate too. Nice bloke, good hubby and dad too. A bit of a tightwad though.
Anywayz, a couple of years ago, we were both introduced to this thing called a computer which led to the internet and lo & behold, e-mail!
He has always preferred to do business on the phone while I had this routine of putting everything in black & white i.e. letters, fax, etc. With e-mail, it was like a god-send thingy for me, so to speak, besides saving Earth with using less or no paper. I encouraged 'J' to do likewise since he has a pc at home.
Subsequently, for about 1 or 2 months, 'J' would say that he did not receive my e-mails and I had to go through a variety of brainstorming sessions with him trying to figure out what's wrong.
One fine day, as usual, 'J' was on the phone complaining about this recurring problem and I honestly thought his pc has got a major virus infliction until I asked him whether his phoneline connection was properly installed. Pretty basic stuff, right?
'J' says "Do I need to log on to the internet to retrieve my e-mails?"
I replied "Duh! Yeah, man".
So he went "Hang on...let's see...yeah, yeah, alright. Hey, man, there's a whole bunch here from you....".
And I went like "J, you &$*-@##)("
Told yer he's a bit of a tightwad.
Between foolishness and ignorance, it's always friends who have to bear with it.
Eva, People who doesnt want to move with the time and embrace new technology are plentiful in Malaysia. I know of some teachers who pay others to do their work when they have to do it via the computer. They said they dont mind it as long as their work is done. They just dont want to learn up. To them it is very difficult and too complicated. To me it is the lack of trying combined with the lack of interest that deter them to learn new things. They will buy a computer just they will buy an ornament just to make the house complete with all the paraphernalia that is considered as part of the house decor. The pc ends up as the tool for the children to play games which is really a waste. Have a good day.

Eva,
The folly of man. Just because he is foolish does he expect others to be as foolish?.
Did I read it right?
Zawi,
More than right! Couldn't have said it better.
Do you see a familiar situation anywhere near you?
we always do, zawi, we always do!
