That's how I see it, people.
I'm no fan of Malaysia's DPM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak but I do think that articles by certain bloggers on the Altantuya murder case are to discredit him TO THE MAX.
I agree with someone's view that bloggers like RPK and Susan Loone have got their own agenda in crucifying Najib in their blogs.
I hope they're not being paid to do that. I hope they truly believe in justice.
I don't see a shred of evidence linking Najib to the murder save for the fact that one of the accused -- Razak Baginda -- was head of his think-tank.
And now, these people are linking Najib's wife, Rosmah Mansor, to the murder as well. I think that is so unfair.
Sure, Rosmah has acquired that "domineering" and "dominating" reputation as the woman wearing the pants in house but to point a finger at her and insinuate motive on her part, well...I think that's going overboard.
Trying Najib and Rosmah in the court of public opinion in this murder case? Aww, c'mon.
I think this a conspiracy of the highest order and I can figure out the players behind this grand-scale scheme.
I won't repeat the things written about Najib.
I am reminded that Altantuya was a high-class social escort and was extorting big sums of money from Razak Baginda.
Oh..that's hearsay?
That is probably the ONLY established fact in the murder case.
Of course, she didn't deserve to be killed that way, or any other way. Nobody does.
I hope her killers will be punished!
I still think that there is a big-time conspiracy to fix Najib real good!
May the truth save us all!

Just goes to show that you must not blindly believe everything you read on the internet. This is refreshing to see you write in totally different point of view and try to make people understand that stuff in the internet can be very deceptive and manipulative.
It might be all a part of political games that people are playing to bring our government down. So yes, be smart citizens and judge what's right!
Congrats eva, good post!
darcwil,
the thing is...most of what has been written are innunedos and conjectures because RPK believe the government to be so corrupt that anything goes.
i believe that, yes...there is so much corruption. So, everyone is accountable, then.
So. to hell with the judges and all the pending court cases.
becos this is a high profile case, people want to see it move fast...
perhaps, RPK is right. but let's see the proof...
I am surprised to see you have an opinion that differs from most of the bloggers. And i do think that this is a ploy to set up Najib. Come on, we are talking about poitics here. RPK has been accusing everyone without evidence for some time now and everyone believes him and he did that with impunity. I seriously think that he should be charged and not be given support unless he proves the accusations in his article. No one should be given leeway to fabricate unsubstantiated lies. And i've written about this Nuraina's blog too

i totally agree. You have to be held accountable for whatever you write on the internet. Freedom comes with responsibilities. But the sad thing is there are a thousand other baseless things being written and what can we do about all these people? Charge them all in court? Bloggers and comment posters alike have to know fact or hearsay n refrain from saying things that could be a threat to national security anyway.
Just my opinion.
Eva sorry to intrude into your sphere and it is so refreshing to read your site. I have been called by many names, a pro-Najib, a racist, and kurang ajar, but I am nothing of the above. I just do not like to see people's reputation destroyed. I cannot do what some people can do for whatever reason to destroy a person, or a person's reputation. I do not for once believe Najib is involved or guilty of murder, for that is serious and they had better come out with proof, for pete sake! Once a group of influentiual people tried to frame Anwar Ibrahim for murder and I stick my neck out to tell him since he was then a deputy prime minister and a deputy president of the country's biggest Malay party that he must be aware of the impending frame up! Now it looks as though these same people are doing the same thing again to a different deputy prime minister, this is sick?! All because of power?!!
"I am reminded that Altantuya was a high-class social escort and was extorting big sums of money from Razak Baginda."
A dead woman can't defend herself...
So, you think these flers are saints?
penanak nasik:
i'm sorry to disagree on your point that it is not to fix Najib because I think it is. And by some people who think he is in the way of a certain person wanting to be PM. Ok. so i maybe wrong! And because it is all about POLITICS, that i think it is a concerted attempt to malign, discredit and sully Najib.
I'm sorry, to me RPK has not substantiated the allegations. His article is full of innunendos.
But, I don't believe in the use of Sedition Act, though.
darcwil,
all said...very few bloggers -- as far as I can see -- are a threat to national security.
Raja Petra, i think and i do believe, is doing all this because someone is paying him to do that.
i don't think his intentions are noble at all. i think he's got a lot of venom in him.
i don'tt know him personally...i asked around...well, i do believe that he has no credibility in writing about honesty and morality. but if he wants to, that is his right.
in fact, if he wants to write bad things about people, that is his right. but in his "let's send the altantuya...." article, i sense alot of malice. i see a lot of unsubstatiated allegations. he wanst to to try najib and rosmah in the court of public opinion and thinks that it is justified...well, i don;t agree.
see, i can also try Raja Petra in the court of public opinion....
pasquale,
no, don't apologise.. in cyberspace, there is no such think as intrusion.
i hear you, man. and i do agree. this is all about fixing a leader. what hateful people politicians are.
cheers!
anon@10:32PM:
i am not even saying that altantuya was a bad or immoral person.
the fact was that she was having a sexual relationship with a married man who gave her money. and she was at razak baginda's house to make demands.
even that, i'm not going to be drawn into making any judgement about her. because nobody deserves to die the way she was killed.
and no...whoever killed her were certainly no saints. and they ought to be punished.
but i certainly won't accuse Najib as being responsible for her murder.
then you might as well drag the PM and the IGP because the main accused persons are policemen.
